Dr. Victoria Dorée Coleman is
a Counseling Psychologist and Adjunct Professor
at DeVry University, Keller Graduate School of
Management. A former tenured Professor at Purdue
University in West Lafayette, Indiana, she has
held positions in higher education, corporate
America, mental health, and social services,
including the State University of New York,
Northwestern University, Educational Testing
Service, and American Airlines. She is also a
Certified Consultant for OCM-Lee Hecht Harrison,
and conducts research on career
development/vocational psychology, conflict
resolution, sports counseling, addictions, and
diverse populations. Dr. Coleman has several
refereed publications in these areas.
An entrepreneur and President/CEO
of The Coleman Group, Dr. Coleman travels
throughout the United States, Europe, and South
America conducting workshops, developing
programs, and evaluating institutions for
accreditation. Her Keynote presentations deal in
a variety of topics as fitting her vast
experience. She has provided consultation for
educational institutions, business, industry,
government, professional associations, and
community organizations. The Coleman Group is a
comprehensive management consulting firm
specializing in mediation, human capital
management, psychotherapy, and research. Dr.
Coleman has also worked with Churches and faith
based organizations and is now certified as an
Anger Management Councilor for individuals and
businesses as well as churches who desire help
in this area. A native
of Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Coleman received a
Bachelor's degree in Political Science and a
Master's in U.S. and Latin American History from
The University of Iowa; a Master's in Counselor
Education from Northern Illinois University; and
a Doctorate in Counseling Psychology from
Rutgers University.
Professionally, she is a Practitioner Member of
the Association for Conflict Resolution (Board
Member, Los Angeles Chapter), a member of the
International Employee Assistance Professionals
Association, the American Association for
Marriage and Family Therapy, and the National
Association of Forensic Counselors, among
others. She is also a Licensed Professional
Counselor; a Licensed Marriage and Family
Therapist; a Licensed Clinical Social Worker; a
National Certified Doctoral Addictions
Counselor; a National Certified Counselor; a
National Certified Career Counselor; a National
Certified Gerontological Counselor; a National
Certified Domestic Violence Counselor; a
National Certified Criminal Justice Specialist;
and a Clinical Member of the American
Association for Marriage and Family Therapy. Dr.
Coleman also holds an Advanced Certificate in
Mediation and conducts substance abuse
evaluations for the U.S. Department of
Transportation. Dr.
Coleman is the first National Certified Career
Counselor, the first and only National Certified
Gerontological Counselor, the first and only
Diplomate in Sports Counseling, and first and
only Master Career Counselor in Southern Nevada.
A founding member of the International
Association of Coaches, Dr. Coleman also
completed an Internship and is a Certified
Federal Mediator for the United States Equal
Employment Opportunity Commission.
