Mercy was born and raised in
the rural South to sharecropper parents. Her
matriarchal lineage emphasized education to
ensure she would overcome the hardships and
limitations of rural agricultural life. Mercy
was recognized at an early age for her athletic
and creative talents. As such, she participated
in talent pageants, theatrical performances,
dance exhibitions, and fashion shows. At
nineteen years of age, Mercy relocated to New
York City to pursue theater and dance. Returning
to the South after the birth of her only child,
Oneka Rheah, Mercy faced the challenges of
single parenthood and a career path from the
cultural center of NYC. The transition from New
York City back to the South was difficult and
raising Oneka as a single parent was even more
daunting. However, Mercy utilized her
enterprising skills in securing employment in
the private, non-profit and corporate sectors
involving community advocacy and business
development. Mercy possesses over twenty years
of excellent work experience in sales
management, retail management and non-profit
management with national corporations, community
organizations to small business enterprises.
With a proven track record of
success in such areas as team building,
interpersonal skills, customer service, personal
and enhancement of group productivity, Mercy
offers practical solutions in a dynamic
presentation. She launched her professional
communications career as an invited Keynote
Speaker during a National Secretary Day
Celebration. Her insight, humor and well earned
wisdom have impacted the lives of people at
every socioeconomic class. Today, Oneka is a
beautiful young woman and Mercy is a happy,
single devout Christian.
