Jennifer Brost is a homemaker,
Pastor's wife and mother of 2 boys. She is also
the President of The Job Foundation, a
charitable foundation committed to increasing
the financial, educational and health status of
person's enduring hardship in her hometown
Jennifer is the author of "How I Suffered from
My Theology: and regained my faith by
questioning 3 beliefs," she is also a
professional speaker, and President of The Job
Foundation. As a former
chronic sufferer of so many maladies, she has a
passion for helping others see and feel God's
goodness. When she was in her early 20s, her
mother-in-law, mother, father, and unborn son
all died in a 30 month period. Jennifer "coded"
and nearly died as well. Her husband was in
Seminary during this period of pain. Due to the
overwhelming grief, and feeling burnt by the
Christian community, she denounced her faith in
Jesus and walked away from the Lord! She was
brought back through an intense study of the
Scriptures on the topic of suffering. That was
some 6 years ago.
Today,
she is happy to be a "Minister's Wife," and
enjoy speaking about her book and experience.
God has gifted her with opportunities to help
others understand God's goodness despite their
pain. And she is not one for clichés. She hates
those minimizing comments, "God had a reason!"
"It's part of God's plan!" and "We may not like
this now, but this needed to happen!"
Baloney!!!!!Her
workshops on dealing with grief are a sought
after venue for church groups and secular
business and organizations as well. Through The
Job Foundation (named after her stillborn son,
Job), she pays inner-city kids for their grades,
requires them to save for their futures, and
teaches them to be financially responsible. Her
book benefits this organization as well as
Shared Hope International and
World Impact.
What
people are saying about "How I
Suffered From My Theology and Regained My Faith
By Questioning 3 Beliefs":
"Jennifer combines her intense study of this
issue in Scripture with her own heart that God
has shaped through pain and loss. Together, they
touch both our minds and our feelings. I
recommend this book for those whose interest is
merely academic and for those who are wrestling
through these issues amid the pain of their own
lives." - Rev. Ed Baker, Orchard Hill Church
“Jennifer does a masterful job of helping us to
see how our beliefs affect the way we respond to
many of life’s challenges. A great read for
those who feel helpless in their current
circumstance. ” - Tim Boettger, Teaching
Minister, Orchard Hill Church
"I could not put it down! This book could change
lives because, I believe, it's right from the
heart of God." - Author, Maribeth Boelts,
Cedar Falls, Iowa
"A Must Read. . ." - The Bob Dutko Show, WMUZ
